Legis has been providing multi-jurisdictional corporate and trust structures and administrative support services, to institutional and private clients since 1979.

The Legis Group of companies carry on operations from independent British Offshore Islands, including administration of client entities registered in other jurisdictions.

Legis Group Limited is the group holding company of the Legis companies and does not it self undertake any activities on behalf of clients. 

Partners of Ozannes, Advocates and Notaries Public own the majority of the issued share capital of Legis Group Limited, a minority being owned by Legis management.

Those partners of Ozannes who own shares in Legis Group Limited also act as non-executive directors of certain Legis operating companies and assist the Legis management in the administration and review of clients’ affairs as required from time to time.

Legis Trust Limited is the main corporate trustee of the group.  It acts as corporate trustee to private and charitable trusts established by or on behalf of clients to enable the safekeeping and preservation of assets and it provides trust administration services  in respect of assets held in trust.

Legis Fund Services Limited is the principal fund administration company of the group. It provides fund administration services, including secretarial, administrative, accounting and compliance services to funds and private equity vehicles and to fund managers in accordance with the relevant regulatory legislation.

Legis Corporate Services Limited is the principal operating company of the group, acts as corporate secretary to client companies, providing the necessary statutory services to maintain a company in good legal standing and providing such other company administration services as are agreed with the client and the company in question.

Corporate director companies with boards comprising members of Legis' management and partners of Ozannes ensure that director representation for client companies is available at all times.  Legis management may also act as personal directors of client companies where appropriate.

The Legis group also provides a corporate liquidator of Guernsey companies in certain circumstances and occasionally for entities in other jurisdictions.

Legis’ management and staff comprise approximately 50 people, many with qualifications in the accountancy, company secretarial, fiduciary services, compliance and investment fields. In addition, partners of Ozannes are also directors of various group companies, so that a legal overview of activities is available on an ongoing basis where necessary.  Legis staff members are also able to obtain the assistance of Ozannes’ departments, notably corporate, commercial and trust departments to supplement the experience available within Legis.
